Serve-a-thon Moves to Daley Plaza!
The Chicago Cares Serve-a-thon has been celebrating the power of community for nearly two decades. This year, we’re bringing the fun and excitement of Serve-a-thon Plaza right to the heart of downtown Chicago, Daley Plaza!
Nestled in the center of the Loop, Daley Plaza is a true Chicago landmark and regularly hosts cultural performances, ethnic festivals, holiday celebrations and more. Chicago Cares is proud to host Chicago’s largest day of service at this historic venue.
As volunteers check-in at Serve-a-thon Plaza, they will be inspired by the iconic architecture and art work of the Daley Plaza venue. Easy access with CTA lines, Metra lines and ample buses will make transportation simple and affordable for all Serve-a-thon participants. The opening ceremony will feel even more vibrant this year, as we draw energy from the hustle and bustle of downtown Chicago to fuel vital service projects throughout the city.
After a day of service, volunteers will be bussed back to Daley Plaza where we’ll celebrate the day’s accomplishments with food, drinks, live music and a beer garden (21+, must have valid ID.) There is no better place to honor the spirit of community we share than in the shadow of the breathtaking Chicago skyline at Daley Plaza.
The volunteer registration deadline is Monday, June 4, or when we reach capacity (whichever comes first!) Make sure you’re signed up to join us for the city’s largest day of service, the Chicago Cares Serve-a-thon!
