What could your organization accomplish if you were given the opportunity to utilize 10 volunteers every month? Every week?

What about 100 or more volunteers on one day?

Non-profit organizations have great plans on how to meet the needs of their communities, and volunteers are a major part of the solution! Unfortunately, due to lack of resources, staff or funding; finding the time to train, manage and coordinate the necessary volunteers can be difficult. That’s where we come in!

Chicago Cares partners with community organizations, schools and parks to increase their capacity to be the solution to the real challenges facing our community. Focusing on the issue areas of: education, health and wellness, hunger relief, senior services, and the environment; our staff works with each partner to identify the most pressing needs in their community and then creates and manges a project or series of projects that puts volunteers to work meeting those needs in a meaningful way.

We’re always on the lookout for new organizations to partner with, and we’re excited to hear from former partners who are starting new projects and initiatives. If your school or non-profit organization is interested in becoming a Chicago Cares community program partner, it’s easy to get started:

  1. Review our programs and partnership requirements
  2. Register your organization with Chicago Cares
  3. Complete a community partner application

And with so many amazing community partners across Chicago, we always have an opportunity for you to make a difference through volunteering! Check out the calendar to find the project that’s right for you.
