Did you know that volunteers have better odds of finding employment?  Or that volunteering can enrich your sense of purpose? For sure, volunteering is a great way to develop yourself both personally and professionally. Volunteers learn and practice leadership skills, and are challenged to think about life beyond their own neighborhood and experience. That is why Chicago Cares works hard every day to make volunteering easy and accessible for Chicagoans who want to do good.

That is also why we love hosting Find Your Cause. At this unique event, hundreds of young professionals are invited to mix and mingle with representatives from over 50 non-profits. The organizations we have this year are from all issue areas and neighborhoods. Whether you’re interested in arts and culture, health, animal welfare, children, or education, there is something for you at Find Your Cause!

You’ll have a great opportunity to learn about lots of different organizations doing great work in Chicago and how to get involved as a volunteer or auxiliary/junior board member. No need to get overwhelmed by all your choices! Each attendee will be pre-matched with 3 organizations that are must visits according to the issue areas that you select at registration. It’s a great event for people looking to get involved in Chicago causes – plus there will be plenty of drinks, appetizers, and networking to go around!

Don’t just take it from us – hear what last year’s attendees had to say about Find Your Cause:

“Being able to learn about so many charities at one time in a relaxed, fun setting was awesome.”

“My favorite thing was the ability to walk around and speak to different representatives about their organization and have everyone in a central location.”

We hope you’ll join us on October 10, 2017 at Find Your Cause. We’re excited to see you doing EVEN MORE good!
